About The Ops Guide
Running operations isn’t about theory - it’s about what actually works when people, processes, and pressure collide.
The Ops Guide shares lessons from the operational trenches.
As COO at Hosted Network, I’m deep in the day-to-day: refining systems, managing teams, navigating messy handoffs, and experimenting with tools like AI to make work more efficient.
This isn’t a blog about best-case scenarios. It’s where I document what’s really working - and what’s not - across areas like:
- Building scalable systems without overcomplicating things
- Improving team execution and internal communication
- Leading through operational change with clarity and calm
- Using tools (including AI) to streamline, not just automate
- Developing frameworks to solve bottlenecks across teams
Why I Started The Ops Guide
Most operations content is either too generic, too polished, or too far removed from the realities of running a business. I couldn’t find resources that answered the questions I actually had as a COO:
- How do you get buy-in without slowing everything down?
- How do you keep the wheels turning while building a better engine?
- How do you manage growth without drowning in admin and chaos?
This project is my way of sharing the answers I’ve uncovered (and the questions I’m still wrestling with). Every post, framework, or checklist is grounded in the work I’m doing right now - with the goal of helping other leaders operate with more clarity, confidence, and consistency.
If you lead teams, own operations, or just want better systems behind your strategy - you’re in the right place.
